Book Review; God in Everyday Life by Bradt and Kress

In God in Everyday Life, Brad Bradt and Eric Kress Do what I have not seen in any other commentary; they combine verse by verse expositional helps and outlines of the text, an example expository sermon and biblical counseling case studies. I used Eric Kress’ astute, concise notes on Ruth this summer and found him to be a steady guide. Warm and pastoral in tone with a great deal of care for getting at the meaning behind the text. This commentary on Ruth is a valuable addition to anyone’s library. I found the outlines of each chapter so helpful as I looked for themes in the book. the biblical counseling elements in the work add to the ability to apply the book of Ruth and it’s lessons to our lives more readily. i am thankful for this work and commend it.
